My Story

Our founder Steve is stepping out on a marathon 344-mile walk this autumn from Morpeth in Northumbria to Stonehouse in Gloucestershire, to mark our 30th anniversary.

Along the way he will be visiting towns whose initial letters spell out the word MENINGITIS, as he travels from Morpeth, via Easington, Northallerton, Ilkley, Nelson, Glossop, Ibstock, Tamworth and Inkberrow, before arriving back in Stonehouse on Monday 24 October. Throughout the 17-day walk, starting on Saturday 8 October, Steve will cover about 20 miles each day.

He hopes to raise £50,000 to fund meningitis awareness, research and support from the challenge, to take his personal contribution to fighting the disease over the last 30 years to £2 million from walks alone.

Thank You
